To enhance our “Green Cleaning System” CCOA is offering daytime cleaning to all of its clients. Although we don’t agree with recent studies that it cuts down on energy costs or theft, we believe that a specific group of clients could benefit from its implementation. A good example would be government offices with privacy needs that only supervised daytime cleaning can achieve. Building contractors should schedule some or all of their cleaning as requested by clients’ needs. We are constantly training our staff, that is required to clean during regular office hours, to be respectful and courteous when working around office personnel and how to interface with them. This less invasive training is necessary as not to be disruptive to our clients and still be efficient and productive in adhering to our cleaning standards. We are informing the occupants as what to expect before implementing a daytime cleaning program and giving them details about the system to emphasize that the custodians have a job to do, but not at the cost of disrupting the workplace. This exchange of information and what each other’s needs are is very important in this process before effective day cleaning can start.
